Italian fashion house, Brioni, hosted a cocktail party for the highly anticipated movie, Angels & Demons, last night atop RAI Corporation in NYC. If Edgar Allen Poe attended Accompanied Literary Society’s after party for Michael Cuesta’s Tribeca premiere of “Tell Tale” at the Mercer Hotel Friday night, he would’ve been “very, very dreadfully nervous” and downed a few drinks. But he’s dead, so Brooke Geahan and Drazen Bosnjak had to take over entertaining cast members Josh Lucas, who doubled as co-host, Brian Cox, and others, with midnight drinks and a reading of the tortured writer’s famous short story. It was a one-two punch last Tuesday when Channing Tatum and co-stars attended the premiere of the latest underdog brawl flick, Fighting, at the Regal Union Sqaure Stadium 14 in NYC. The movie also stars Terrance Howard as a scam artist turned manager in the bare-knuckling fighting world. Also at the premiere was Tatum’s real-life fiance, Jenna Dewan — the two met on the set of Step Up. Fighting will duke it out at the box office this weekend when it debuts along with Beyonce’s Obsessed and  Jamie Foxx’s The Soloist. More photos below… More»

New York publicist, Peggy Siegel, held a private screening for HBO’s latest production, Grey Gardens, at Goose Creek in East Hampton this past weekend, attracting the likes of actor Jay McInerney, media mogul Martha Stewart, and supermodel Christie Brinkley. The movie which stars Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore as “Big” and “Little” Edie Beale, Jackie O’s reclusive aunt and cousin is based on the 1975 documentary, and will premiere on April 18.

Well today marks the official opening of SATC around the country and people are REALLY getting into it. Many are discussing the appeal the movie will have among the male demographic. While some think that most men don’t care enough about the show/characters/movie to purchase their $12 ticket, the men in my life make me think twice. These men are the Stanfords, Skippers, and Mr. Bigs of this world, who relate to the male characters, those characters’ experiences with our favorite females, and the urban environs they all enjoy. There are also men, like some fathers we know, who are see the women in their lives in the SATCfemales – and secretly enjoy a cosmo at home every now and then.
