Major props to the Real Housewives Countess LuAnn de Lesseps for finding an outfit that would effortlessly take her from a day's worth of events straight into the 20's themed Montauk Yacht Club's 80th Anniversary. Her monochromatic skirt and top combo, in a color usually reserved for 50% off Revlon lipsticks (Dusty Rose?) at Duane Reade, surprisingly works perfectly here with the nude lace accent at the neckline. The fit is flattering and age appropriate, compared to some of the get-ups normally seen on other Real Housewives (and we aren't even talking about New Jersey). More»

...Or don't. Because I don't think these bathing suits are exactly Hamptons beach-friendly for a couple of reasons. When I first heard of Kiniki's tan through bikinis, and that they're barely keeping them in stock, I was stoked (as the surfer boys say). Considering the amount of sun we've been getting out here (uh, none), I'll go to just about any extent to get some color, short of crawling in a tanning bed. Since 80% of the sun's UV rays get through the thing, I knew I'd be constantly applying sunscreen all day, but hell, I'm getting desperate. But not desperate enough to wear the prints the suits are made in. More»

To be fair, it seems Southside isn't the only transgressor of the no-smoking law that has been in affect for years in our city. Last Saturday night, we caught several offenders at Mr. West. In their defense, they had a good reason to celebrate: it was their leader, Jordan Harris', birthday. Still, if you see cameras around, lose the Camel light.

To say Celeste Greenberg's Tuleste Market Collection has taken off is an understatement. The jewelry line is a constant source of social musings. Besides their parties thrown, I have consistently ran into fans of the line out and about. This Wednesday night, Mr. West glammed things up and played host to a cocktail party in celebration of Tuleste's newest collection as well as the launch of their new website. The beautiful Sea City Dancers were wearing nothing BUT the pieces, of which were draped across their chests. And, as if this crowd needed help looking any hotter, David X Prutting was there, one of our city's most talented photographers, to capture all of their hottest angles on film.

New York Nightlife Dead?? I don't think so! And, I spent the better half of my afternoon yesterday on a mission to prove the naysayers wrong. I presented one of my favorites, Blue Ribbon, and now you all deserve to know where the coolest people (for lack of a better word) are hanging out after hours. So, I asked A Rising PR, A Nightlife Columnist, A G9 Connoisseur, A Dapper Business Man With a Penchant for Expensive Things and Beautiful Women,The REAL Izzy Gold, An Indie Worshiper of Rock, A Creative Jeweler, A Couple of Trust Funders "In Transition", Two Party Starting DJ's, A Paid "Predictor of Trends", A Venture Capitalist, A Cool Cravat Cat, and A Hipster Magazine Editor where their favorite night spots were (excluding the known Beatrice Inn, The Box, 1Oak, Martignettis, Rose Bar, Gold Bar, The Eldridge, Bowery Hotel, etc.), and here is what they came up with:
Apotheke
The newest hot spot, in the rising Chinatown neighborhood, has hit JACKPOT. This place came up on almost everyone's list. And why not? Who wouldn't love a nice absinthe cocktail after a tough day of being cool? More»
