Over the weekend Kim Kardashian celebrated her 31st birthday with a performance by Pink at the Darby, Patrik Ervell and Graham Hudson held the Boffo Building opening reception, The 1% fled to Jersey for the Hunt, Tom Colicchio hosted the High Line Chef's Dinner, Grub Street had their food festival, Baker performed at CMJ, and so much more. As human beings, we have a lot invested in the idea that our modern existence is more civilized than what has come before us. Although there are daily examples of death, violence, terror and the Tea Party to convince us that we have, in fact, most likely regressed overall, our most compelling example of our own dim humanity is never more present than in the continued adventures of the eight beloved, barely literate gel-trolls that make up the cast of "Jersey Shore."
