Starting on May 2nd, graffiti around the city will be getting a modern update with a new kind of tag called "sound graffiti." NYC-based creative agency CNNCTD+ is behind the project, which according to Paper Mag
"aims to highlight cross-pollination between fashion, music, street art, nightlife and youth culture via sound recordings placed throughout Manhattan."
There will be 100 Playbuttons located throughout the city, but before they hit the streets they'll be on display at a private show at the New Museum on May 1st. More»

Last night, the New Museum celebrated their 35th anniversary spring gala at Cipriani Wall Street. The honored guest of the night was Paul McCarthy, who read a prose-poem speech. The red carpet back-drop was a Swarovski crystal curtain and Chloe Sevigny wore a white tux, with a coordinating edition of Moby Dick as her main accessory. More»
