I hope you didn't spend $10 for the 7 pictures of the Olsen twins in Vogue and a subsequent Facebook upload of the cover, captioned: "<3"  because there's another pair of famous stylish sisters in town, the Knowles.  Younger sib Solange is known for shaking it up in fashion with her curves and colors and don't think we haven't noticed. Living in New York, more often then not we are agitated by the symphony of blaring car horns, rather than moved- furious at the torrential rain forcing us to hail a taxi, rather than appreciative of the ten minute respite spent staring out a splattered cab window.  Occasionally we need a reminder to visually devour our surroundings, and this video does just that. A photo of a sign from one of the #Occupy demonstrations has been circulating the interwebs that we'd like to point out in case you hadn't seen it. Obviously the Occupy movement's message carries great weight and speaks to the greater needs of this country's economic health and well-being. Demands to end our wars and stifle corporate greed have become the major causes behind Occupy protests across the nation. But these demonstrations have also become forums to air some peripheral grievances we can relate to, like the need for more "Arrested Development" in our lives. More»

John Slattery from "Mad Men," assuming that his off-camera persona is also an overindulgent, silver-spoon dilettante with no taste for counter-culture might be a little presumptuous, especially after Emily caught him hanging in Silver Lake last night. Could the real John Slattery be– gasp– a hipster!? MORE>>

Sometimes an actor takes on a role or acting style so iconic that it becomes hard to separate him or her from the character. Sometimes, this works out, like when Nic Cage turns out to be an absolute lunatic in real life, but in the case of John Slattery from "Mad Men," assuming that his off-camera persona is also an overindulgent, silver-spoon dilettante with no taste for counter-culture might be a little presumptuous, especially after Emily caught him hanging in Silver Lake last night. Could the real John Slattery be– gasp– a hipster!?

There are only a few phrases or concepts that can make a jaded, judgmental Gen-Y'er like myself giddy with excitement, phrases like "free beer," or "lawnmower accident," or, in our wildest dreams, "'Arrested Development' Reunion." Well, it seems that our wildest dreams may be coming true, because over the weekend, 'AD' creator Mitch Hurwitz and the entire cast of the too-brilliant-for-this-cruel-world comedy gem got together to sit on a stage in New York City for the New Yorker Festival. It's Friday after Fashion Week and you feel like you might throw up. It wasn't the usual couple shots of tequila last night or greasy late night pizza that has given your body the shakes and your eyes that bloodshot glisten. No, it was the full week of early mornings, numerous wardrobe changes, stiletto heels, flashing lights, celebrity/twitter/Missoni overload and oh yeah, the partying you did every single night. No need to brag. It's over. Now let's try and remember what happened...

The mark of fall in NYC, for some, is the start of Fashion Week and the mayhem surrounding it's circus. For others, it's the return of the boozy weekend Meatpacking brunch scene. And, while we are patiently waiting the return of both team MPD (by the Koch Brothers) and the equally debaucherous Bagatelle brunches, we had two other Brunch Teams ring in the season this past weekend. Both taking the "Sunset" theme in their titles, check out the necessary requirements for hosting a boozy brunch party from Team Dream Hotel Downtown (technically an "after brunch" party) and come back tomorrow for a look inside STK's...It's the beginning of the Battle of the Boozy Brunches 2011!

How To Throw A Boozy Brunch Party:

Starting with The Liberty Ball at Gotham Hall on Saturday, which was attended by over 700 young professionals. More»

[Photo via] The usually laugh-out-loud funny late night show with David Letterman took a serious spin once Alec Baldwin got a mic. Letterman questioned Baldwin on his public statement about running for mayor of New York City and got the reply that he most likely won't be running because “running for mayor and being the mayor are two completely different things, and my life is changing."
