Next weekend, Bethesda Row is hosting their annual "Front Row" fashion weekend with three days of events and store promotions, and Jessica Alba will be the guest star this year (Bravo's Andy Cohen and socialite Tinsley Mortimer were guests of honor in previous years).
The festivities kick off at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 16th with the premiere of The Tents at Bethesda Row Landmark Theater. The Tents is a behind-the-scenes look at the rise of New York Fashion Week, with interviews from top designers Carolina Herrera, Zac Posen, Carson Kressley, Robert Verdi, Betsey Johnson and more. Sunday was no day of rest for the fashion set. Lincoln Center was packed to the gills with everyone from the tall to the small. Some of the biggest names in fashion showed up for the DVF show, including Hamish Bowles, Linda Fargo and Suzy Menkes, who was "not in the mood" for a photo. Nikki Hilton also wizzed by, wearing cat-eye sunglasses inside, before we could snap a shot of her "weather-be-damned" bare legs and translucent Louboutins. Despite 8+ inches of snow on the ground, Fashion Week marches on and so does the fashion outside of the tents. While several show goers opted for more practical footwear, there were just as many guests in stilettos picking their way through the sludge.
