New York City"s stars fluttered out of the woodwork last night for the New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala which took place at Cipriani"s, honoring music executive Kevin Liles, while raising money to assist NYC children in foster care. Cocktails started flowing for this black tie affair at 6:30 followed by dinner, a live auction and performances by Lupe Fiasco, Patti LaBelle, & Jimmy Fallon?...apparently he"s quite the musician. However, the real show stopper of the night was Julie Macklowe"s gown (pictured above).

The crowd that gathered at the Harold Pratt House on Tuesday night to celebrate the New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala was no joke, as the list of attendees could be considered better than the gold standard. This crowd of high profile designers, socialites, media moguls, PR magnates and fashion stalemates are all friends and supporters of New Yorker's for Children, a non-profit organization headed by Susan Burden and Susan Magazine that partners with the Administration for Children's Service to improve the lives of children in foster care in New York City. The festive cocktail party, sponsored by Vogue and Nordstrom, was to preview the New Yorkers for Children fall Gala taking place on September 16th.

Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.
