"I Am Not Obsessed With Julia Allison", Swears Woman Who Devotes Life To Writing About Julia Allison...
Some people crochet, some are in bowling leagues, some try to write the Great American Novel. And then there are some who kick back at the end of a long day by writing mean things about Julia Allison. (Clueless as to who JA is? Go HERE). These people can't seem to get enough of it, and her. The website ReBlogging NonSociety is sort of like the New Media version of a high school slam book: the mostly anonymous writers rip apart anything and everything having to do with Julia and her Merry Band of Lifecasters. Because people who choose to spend their free time writing and thinking about Julia are considerably more interesting than Julia Allison herself, we decided to investigate.... More»
OMFG look who made it on TMI Weekly! Adrien Field, Mary Rambin's new gay boyfriend! You knew it was only a matter of time right? Okay, maybe you didn't. For those of you that are lost here's the gist:
Julia Allison is in love with cameras. Also, shes in love with her girlfriends (girl!). So, she started TMI weekly (get it: "Too Much Information") with her very bffs Meghan Asha (the "tech" part to the trio), and Mary Rambin (the "fashion expert"). Except, as all trainwrecks soap operas tend to do, things got complicated. See there's this site that documents their really interesting daily lives called NonSociety. More»
The rumormill in Twitterville has been churning as of late, with rumors of a departure. Last night it appeared that Meghan Asha was going to jettison the nonsociety.com fameball yoke (for greener pastures?). Alas, Julia "Big Tweets" Allison managed to dispel this by spelling Meghan's name right and divulging their joint travel plans to SXSW.
But what about Mary? There seems to be something about Mary...At least if you look at the gofg peanut gallery. Commenters are long on Asha and short on Rambin. If you are selling "hand bag" Rambin short, you might be making a small fortune at the moment. Let's examine the evidence:
The Twittersphere is starting to push off some interesting (pernicious?) NonSociety rumors this afternoon. Did Meghan Asha, resident she-tech blogger, leave the fameball blogging platform? Let's examine the evidence:

So what is Julia "big tweets" Allison tweeting...? More»
Has it always been a dream of yours to spend an evening with NonSociety girls Julia, Mary, and Meghan? Well, your dream can now be a reality! The girls are auctioning themselves off on eBay! The lucky winner of this auction will get to go on "a NYC adventure with ALL three girls" to be featured on NonSociety! The current bid is $102.50 USD but the best part is the Free Shipping that 100% of the winnings will go to Charity:Water, the group responsible for hosting tonight's Twestival event at Mansion.
This debate has been going on across certain Tumblr sites for awhile, but is reaching a tipping point today after Mary Rambin herself addressed the issue on her own tumblr. UPDATE!: That post was just removed! (we have it below!) There is a back and forth between Mary and SoupSoup which can be read in full below. We are currently on the phone with an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert in Denver to see what they come up with (if NonSociety is in fact in violation). What does this mean? Well, in many cases a website can receive anywhere from 50% of their traffic from Google. If NonSociety is in violation, and Google cuts them off, this could mean drastic changes for their traffic numbers. The whole argument after the jump...
UPDATE: "There's Something About Mary" has apparently been tracking the google cheats first, and quite awhile ago!

My favorite thing about the NonSociety Girls Julia Allison is that they she takes each and every holiday so damn seriously. Just when you thought it'd be another couple of months before you'd see a glue gunned candy outfit or matching lipdub spandex suit, we get a bombardment of Christmas outfits. Complete with matching snowflake PJs ("Only $10 each at Target!!!"), JA continues to raise the bar for all of us.
On today's edition of Nonsociety (the Julia Allison files):
Me: Paris Hilton broke up with that ugly guy.
Mary: Great.
Me: Do you think she's jumped the shark?
Mary: What does that mean?
Megan: It refers to the defining moment when a television show goes from being good to sucking, derived from Happy Days, when Fonzie literally jumps the shark.
Mary: Wow. How do you know that?
Megan: How do you NOT know that?
And there you have it folks. Substantial evidence for why I can't stop reading NonSociety. I hope this helps explain the obssesion a little bit, if not there's always the photos. You can't "jump the shark" if you don't know what that means right?

On Saturday, we were invited over to the offices of NonSociety, that fun trio of Julia Allison, Mary Rambin, and Meghan Asha, and I went to check it out. The ladies brought a whole crowd in from the pouring rain for some Pink Vodka cocktails and pizza from Slice, before the party headed out to Mercury Lounge for a concert by Echosuite. Other guests included Courtney Friel from Fox News, Noelle Hancock, Nick Confessore, Lauren Heft (from One Ocean View and Mary's roommate), Jarred Webber of LVMH, Alana Taylor, Dr. Bobby Buka, Rachel Sklar and Rex Sorgatz, and Miki Agriwal .

The gals over at NonSociety have really been hard at work. Today is their PUBLIC lip dub at Dylan's Candy shop uptown. And, as if the announcement on all three of their blogs wasn't enough, we got at least three emails from outsiders "tipping" us to the event one leading with "Because all we need is Julia and Mary sugared up on Lauren's candy." There's also a facebook invite of course. Also, they are hosting a party this Saturday. What's great is Mary's sister Leven Rambin is having her own little party tomorrow night too, an invite only event at the Eldridge (no mass emails and blog posts were produced). Both invites (with details removed) are above. Will be interesting to see who gets the better turnout. On the NonSociety site: More»
