Art collector Neda Young, hosted a party Saturday evening at her home in Sag Harbor for Eric Fischl, the lead curator of America: Now + Here, a touring exhibition of work by widely heralded and living American artists, poets, playwrights, filmmakers and musicians who have created work in diverse media reflecting on America today. The event included a diverse crowd along the likes of Paul Simon, Eric Ripert, Nicole Miller, Ross Bleckner, Jennifer Esposito, and many more. America: Now + Here is scheduled to launch in Washington, DC in the spring of 2010. The exhibition will then tour to cities across the country in state of the art semi-trailers specially designed to meet museum environmental standards and give the full art experience.

Chester, and featured Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Reed Krakoff, Ralph Lauren, Nicole Miller, Elie Tahari, and Vera Wang - all designers who have ties to Eastern Long Island, and many who are staples in the Hamptons... Photos by Adriel Reboh for PMc] This weekend the Summer Kickoff Party for the 2009 Alzheimer's Association Rita Hayworth Gala was held at a private residence in Watermill. Started in 1985 by Princess Yasmin Aga Khan (daughter to Rita Hayworth), the galas and donations together have raised more than $220 million dollars towards the Alzheimer's Assoication. Rita Hayworth, one of America's most glamorous, well-known and sultriest movie stars, unfortunately succumbed to Alzheimer's Disease in 1987. Today the Rita Hayworth Galas are hosted in three cities nationwide including Chicago, New York, and recently added Dallas.

The Wolffer Estate went historically green Saturday evening as the Group for the East End hosted their first-ever 100% green benefit for the EcoFabulous in the East End event. Bio-diesel generators powered the benefit which raised more than half a million dollars to protect and preserve eastern Long Island's natural environment featuring a cocktail reception and "farm-to-table" dinner provided by local farms and chefs. We caught up with green guests Jared Clark and Suzanne Fuller before checking out the luxurious Eco-Auction including eco-spa treatments, environmentally friendly hand bags, Brilliant Earth's recycled gold jewelry and many other eco-friendly goodies.
