Merry Christmas! From all of us at Guest of a Guest!
We will be back on Monday with all of our New Year’s coverage. If you are looking for something to do in the meantime, browse around, TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS in our photo gallery, TIP STANLEY, and have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!
Remember the good old days when the biggest thing in the world was getting a Hess truck for Christmas? According to wikipedia, in 1964 Hess gas stations started selling toy trucks around Christmas time, changing the model each year. These trucks have become quite the collectors items with 1964 rigs fetching anywhere between $1,400 and $2,000 dollars. More »
Cabela’s Bridger Mountain Man Coyote Fur Hat. Brrrrrrr. This “fur hat” from Cabela’s is an actual item in Cabela’s, a store that is the equivalent of Bergdorf’s in my hometown. Read this very useful user review:
By AlextheEngineer“I have purchased a number of fur hats in my day but this is by far the warmest and most comfortable. Not only does it keep the back of my head warm but you can wrap the legs around your face to block the wind. The only reason this hat did not receive 5 stars is due to the fact that I was attacked by a bird thinking it was wounded prey while I was out for a walk. A rare but unfortunate occurrence when wearing an animal pelt on your head. Also great in the rain. Didn’t smell at all after it was wet and it makes a great present. I’m getting one for my wife.”
“All I want for Christmas is ants on my dishes!” Hey that rhymes! Ants on my Dishes. What Fun!! “This is an ant invasion” alright. With painted on ants swarming your dishes, this is quite the way to make your eating experience more interesting. Kids and adults alike will get a kick out of peeking in on the one sneaky ant that managed to get inside the bowl…
Unfortunately, both etsy items are sold out, though we will keep our eyes open for them when they are back in stock.

Animal lovers in New York City came out to Vintage Irving recently to donate toys to homeless dogs and have their pooches take a picture with Santa at Animal Fair Magazine’s 3rd Annual Toys for Dogs Party. Celebrity dog lovers also came out to support Toys for Dogs and shoot a portion of Animal Fair’s upcoming PSA, “We are Dogs United” debuting early next year to help raise awareness for animal rescue and adoption. Celebrities supporting Toys for Dogs and appearing in the “We are Dogs United” PSA included Abigail Breslin, Glenn Close, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Belzer, Piper Perabo, Joy Behar, Sheri Sheppard, John O’Hurley, Al Roker, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Jill Zarin and many more.
I love this photo. I also love the end of the night, when all of your guests leave your holiday party and you are left with a clean up so big you don’t know where to begin….the sign of a great evening. May all your parties this season leave you this messy! Also, I hope Mr. green jacket is pondering how to help!

Bedtime Story. Everyone knows that books make the best bedfellows. Now a company (Design & Inredningsbloggen) has combined my two favorite things: my bed, and my books. This is a book that you can literally dive into, as it serves as your bed covers too!
I wish I could read the website and figure out how to order one….
