My friend Malcolm Harris is one of the most talented men I know. Not only is he a well known designer of the line Mal Sirrah, Inc. and member of "Designer's for Dafur", he is a modern Renaissance man, connecting people and spreading his contagious energy throughout our city. Case in point: his Fashion for Food event tonight. I sat down with him for dinner at Raoul's last night and was blown away with what Malcom told me he had accomplished in just two weeks. Because of his work, the NY food bank, in a time where there is a considerable less amount to be given away to charities, received the biggest grant since 9/11 from Robin Hood, the foundation who focuses on poverty issues, and which, at their annual black tie gala this year raised more than (I was there and was in shock with how quickly this process happened during a live auction that I will never forget).
