[C.Park Conservancy's Halloween Ball '07] Halloween is just around the corner. Because this is the one time you are allowed to dress however you’d like without having to explain yourself (unless of course, you’re Munson), you shouldn’t take this holiday lightly. Lady Gaga? Michael Jackson? Sarah Palin? Come on, we need to be a little more original than that don’t we? (Sorry James). To help get you in the mood, I asked my friends to share what they were going to be this year. Their answers, below, starting with the GofG staff, are sure to get you inspired to put your best face forward at your Halloween parties. Look forward to our “Halloween Party Guide” next week. Oh, and I’m planning on going as Pee-Wee Herman (for at least one of my outfits).
Stanley Stuyvesant: Bringing out the usual Devil costume this year. Ruff!
Cameron Winklevoss: I will be dressed up as Stanley Stuyvesant.
James Brooks: bon qui qui
Sarah Mandato: I hate halloween, so I recycle a ballerina costume every year.

“Villains!” I shrieked, “dissemble no more! I admit the deed! — tear up the planks! — here, here! — it is the beating of his hideous heart!” [The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe]
The Accompanied Literary Society unveiled a lost manuscripts by Edgar Allan Poe with readings by Josh Lucas and Roger Rees. Fans everywhere, including Mary-Kate Olsen, Piper Perabo, and David Schwimmer gathered at Rendezvous Lounge, which is under Bagatelle, on Halloween to hear. Liam McMullan was the photographer of the evening…that kid does it all!

Emmett, James, and the entire LOLA crew were at a RAGING Halloween party this Friday night. But where exactly were they? There seem to be an abundance of cool types here, Jonathan Famous on the DJ booth, at least two bands, and hundreds of “don’t-call-us-hipster” types. Where were they? Browse through our photo clues below and see if you can name place/party. Winner gets first season of “Spain…On The Road Again” on iTunes free!

“I urge all my loyal readers to vote for Barack for President and Guest of a Guest for best blog”
This was the start of Steve Lewis‘ post on BlackBook today, which was part two of an interview he did with the Southside owners (and friends) Anthony Martignetti and James Willis. Then we saw this on Britanny’s site, ChiChi212. Thank you for all of your support! It’s so nice to have friends in the Blogosphere! Now, back to the Southsiders…last year, I spent my Halloween at the old Bellas, and things got pretty crazy. This year, I hoping to stop into Southside to see my favorites dressed in their costumes! As for tonight, I have an amazingly ELABORATE costume that I can’t wait to ROCK OUT, and too many places to go….

Halloween is a chance for all of NYC socialites to show the world their creative sides. And, with the top makeup artists, stylists, and designers at their fingertips, they better come up with something good….or not even bother stepping out of the house! Last year, V Magazine hosted it’s Halloween party at Rose Bar, and caught several socials in their creative concoctions. It was, along with the Sagatiba Cachaca party at The Box, one of THE parties to be spotted at on Halloween night. So, who was brave enough to weather the PMc photogs? Click below for some favorites:
