Look who’s been drinking on the job again! It’s Mr. Pink Elephant and it’s a wonder he gets anything accomplished at all! When he’s not macking on the girls at night, he seems to be boozing it up at the office during the day! We say live and let live, but Stanley’s starting to walk around the office all “Mr. Pink gets to do this,” and “Mr, Pink does that.” He’s really not setting a great influence here.

This Monday marks the celebration of the birthday of the late, great Martin Luther King and New York City’s clubs are not going to miss out on the opportunity to throw a party make wads of cash. This year, people seem especially in the mood to celebrate great leaders that have changed our country. It’s even more fitting that our nation’s first black president will be signed into office the very next day! Above, Cain, Pop Lounge and Pink Elephant all have big “Dreams” for Sunday night, below, 4 more invitations:

Last night I began my night meeting up with my boys Tim Morehouse and Jason Rogers at the Gotham Lasik Party at Greenhouse. The event was hosted by Richie Rich and also honored dance icon Rasta Thomas. After a few minutes with the hoi polloi we headed to the VIP room and hung out with old friends Tyler Burrow, Erika Taylor, Jasen Kaplen, Richie Rich, Taylor Choi and my favorite Top Model, Jaslene. After a quick Pink cocktail, I headed out to meet my girls. In rough times, friends are necessary, and mine are the best.

Wow, the pleasure economy is really slipping. I don’t think I’ve ever seen booze coupons before in the Sunday circular. But why would I use this at the liquor store? I think the first stop would be one of the city’s fine bottle bars. The possibilities are endless - if that $1000 table is dissuading you, now it’s only $998! Maybe they’ll even start doing “double coupon” nights!
Below is a list of savings and net drink costs if you use a $2 dollar coupon:
List Price - Coupon Savings = Net Cost
Marquee - $20,000-$2 = $19,998 (Armand de Brignac champagne)
Pink Elephant - $216,000-$2 = $215,998 (If you roll like Mike Ashley)

ASSME, The American Society of Shitcanned Media Elites, is one of the best, most clever new groups to come out of 2008. Part of their mission is to use “time-tested methods (alcohol, social interaction), we seek to sustain and inspire this beleaguered professional subclass.” And on Wednesday night at Ella’s they were able to drink (especially some PINK vodka) , dance, interact and celebrate being shitcanned during the holiday season!

Here is an exclusive look into what the inside of Pink Elephant Brazil will look like via a video rendering. As we stated before, The Elephant is not near the end of its run as was previously reported by some nightlife blog and continues to extend its tentacles into the global nightlife arena. PE Sao Paolo is slated to open December 18th. Video after the jump…

[Dueling Socialites Kerry Cassidy and Whitney Port]
A tipster reports that things got a little heated between reality TV socialite divas Whitney Port and Kerry Cassidy last night. Whitney is the star of the Hills offshoot “The City”, and Cassidy is apparently also going to star in her own reality circus.
I was standing over to the side behind them and paparazzi were there taking pictures for Whitney’s new show “The City”…Whitney had walked into the club like a diva…[and] she manage to push Kerry like 5 feet back, I think she thought Kerry was talking to her boyfriend. Kerry proceeded say “excuse me, are you serious” and then shoved her way back to her table…

Last night began with a committee meeting for the Trinity Place Holiday Fundraiser. Trinity is a homeless shelter for LBGT teens in Manhattan. Our event is being held next Tuesday, December 2nd at Aspen Nightclub. Scott was asked to be on the benefit committee by our friend Matt Tratner and others on the committee include old friends Scott Sigler and Douglas Hill along with new friends including Josh Wood, Oscar Apaydinli, Russ Williamson and Mike Ruiz. We definitely encourage everyone to try and stop. It is for a great cause and tickets are only $25 to drink all night! Now that’s a bargain in these recessionary times!

Girls and boyz alike are going crazy for Girl Talk these days. On November 15, the popular DJ took the stage at Terminal 5 and thousands of fans came in their favorite neon outfits and glow sticks. Girl Talk concerts tend to get out of control. Case in point? Last Saturday they were the prequel to the Yale-Harvard football game up in Cambridge and the police had to SHUT DOWN the concert after multiple failed attempts at crowd control. “It was the most unsuccessful successful show ever,” Leah E. Boch ’09 said.

Two of our favorite boys from the midwest, Derek and Daniel Koch, were at it again last Thursday night as they opened the doors to La Prive. Sparklers lit up the dance floor, craziness ensued, and luckily we were there for all the drinks, cake, and kisses.
