Thanksgiving is a time to be around family and those you care about with a grand old fashioned meal emulating our ancestors who came before us. It also, apparently, is the perfect time to PARTY. Thanksgiving Eve has become the new New Years’ Eve it seems, with every nightclub trying outdo the competition. Opera Nightclub (which I had never heard of but is on west 47th street), was no exception. Loads of partiers came out for the 6th Annual Jive Turkey Party. Who needs family when you’ve got friends like this to party with right?

Sure the economy is in the tubes, but don’t let it cramp New Year’s! Guestofaguest is now offering tickets to the top NYE spots in the City. You can get tickets to Cain, Marquee, Pink Elephant, Hotel Gansevoort, and more. Go HERE to get your tix.
The Thanksgiving Pre-Parties have been flooding in our email. While you can always check our calendar for the up to the minute scoop on where we will be, I thought I would go over some of the more prominent parties that I won’t be missing. Above, the Food Drive at ANTIK, hosted by James Cruickshank, Allie Wilmot, Shwana Kinney, and Timsley Rosenman will follow the Reason Cooper Square opening and is sure to be a hit. Also, the Lucky Strike Party hosted by Lydia Hearst, Scott Buccheit, Kristian Laliberte, and Cayte Grieve. This is the party I will be at, and it’s bound to turn up loads of familiar faces. To read what Kristian and Cayte have to say about the event, as well as other invites, click below:

The Temple of Dendur in the Sackler Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art was the location for last night’s annual Apollo Circle Benefit Dance. This year’s theme was “Gilded Pleasure” and was hosted by Carolina Herrera who looked radiant. The Apollo Circle is a memebership for individuals ages 21-39 to help support the Met’s conservation departments.

Hollywood glamor and the Lower East Side may not seem like they go hand in hand. But we think a little high class decor is just what this area needs. “The City’s” producers must have caught on to the same bug we did, because they were apparently setting up to film at Ella last night. Chris hung out at the downstairs piano bar at the end of his Society Gallery Tour of the LES, (write up to follow). From the photos, the space looks like just the setting for a “Gossip Girl” episode as well.

BIZNESS PEOPLE AT HOLLY’S, OCT 9TH, 2008:
Look’s like Holly’s has gotten their shiznit together after last spring’s 48 violation points they received for things like “Spoiled food, toilets not maintained, and improper hand washing facility.” Glad to see that nothing will keep the hipsters away from their “bizness” of scum infested LES bars.

Rebel is a club on W 30th in Chelsea. I have never been, and from the looks of the photos, that is a very very good thing. And, this is on a SUNDAY night! Can you imagine what the place looks like on a Friday or Saturday!? It was the “Sunday School for Degenerates” party and the tickets were a bargain at $25 a pop for almost 12 hours of undisturbed fun. (The event ran from 10pm to 9AM). And, as an added bonus to Clubzone for so generously giving their time to document the evening, the girl in the first photo below was willing to offer some promotional work for them to use in future ads.
