Coachella-goers: by now, hopefully, you've got yourself together. You're dressed, ready, you've studied the setlist, maybe you're even at the gates already. But, tragic as it is to admit, you can't be everywhere at once, so you've still got some tough choices to make. Well don't worry, we cover Coachella year-round around these parts, and that means we've already prepared a day-by-day breakdown of our top picks for unmissable shows– some headliners and some more obscure. In his meteoric rise to fame over the last four years, 21-year-old Odd Future frontman Tyler The Creator has made a habit of doing or saying pretty much whatever borderline-insane shit pops into his head, from bum-rushing the stage and getting choke slammed at a Gucci Mane show to responding to Canadian indie rockers Tegan & Sara's thoughtful, well-developed criticism of his lyrical content with a single tweet. Whether or not you approve of his particular brand of lunacy, he's bigger than ever, as evidenced by this Cobrasnake gallery of his Odd Future collective's headlining gig at the Paid Dues Festival this weekend in San Bernardino. Tyler The Creator is not a normal human being. This information may not come as too much of a surprise if you've ever heard of him, but it bears repeating: there's something wonderfully abnormal going on inside this young man's head. Which is why we enjoyed reporting on the Gucci Mane event last week, where Tyler, perhaps all hopped up on the corn syrup from his beloved Capri Suns, bum-rushed the stage, was escorted off, and then gloriously returned. But to really get a sense of how ridiculous it was, you've got to watch the video. More»

Gucci Mane, Tyler The Creator [by Rony Alwin via]
Last night's launch event for skate/streetwear brand The Hundreds' collaboration with G-Shock at the Belasco Theatre downtown unfolded as a scenario that could probably only happen here in L.A. One in which crazed Odd Future frontman Tyler the Creator, famous as much for making scenes with his radical behavior as he is for his music, was escorted off stage after making a surprise appearance during a Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy performance. Goldenvoice isn't exactly going easy on us with the Day 3 lineup this year, having put together a collection of highly energetic, much anticipated acts that will challenge you to make the most of your time in the desert. Check out our preview (go HERE and HERE for our Day 1 and Day 2 analysis, respectively) of the acts we're souped for on the final day of Coachella 2012. MORE>>

In a sense, the third and final day of Coachella is the trickiest for both the schedulers and the festival-goers themselves. With two straight days of desert heat, nonstop music, killer parties, and whatever, um, extracurricular activities you may be getting into under the belt, it may feel like a challenge to maintain a third full of day of music. But Goldenvoice isn't exactly going easy on us with the Day 3 lineup this year, having put together a collection of highly energetic, much anticipated acts that will challenge you to get your weight up for one last day and make the most of your time in the desert. Coachella is one day closer than it was yesterday! And as we continue on with our day-by-day look at some of the bands we're most excited to see (go HERE if you missed our look at Day 1), it's hard to think that anything happening between now and then could possibly live up to the awesomeness. Holy crap, you guys, Coachella is one day closer than it was yesterday! Okay, maybe counting down to April one day at a time is slightly extreme, but as we continue on with our day-by-day look at some of the bands we're most excited to see (go HERE if you missed our look at Day 1), it's hard to think that anything happening between now and then could possibly live up to the awesomeness. The Coachella 2012 line up has made it's official announcement, and we're pretty stoked on practically every single act that was picked. Take a closer look at who will be there Day One. MORE>>

The blogosphere and social media platforms collectively took a giant shidoobee in their cyber panties yesterday afternoon at the announcement of the highly speculated Coachella 2012 lineup. Would the fact that this year's festival expanding to two consecutive weekends featuring the same lineup and set schedule preclude certain artists from being able to play? I guess we'll never know, but it doesn't seem to have thrown too much of a wrench in getting dope musical acts on the bill, even though Daft Punk and David Bowie are once again absent from the list (Goldenvoice, how many times do I have to ask you to make that happen?).
