In a bid to subject every corner of the metro area to the harsh glare of reality TV, "a prominent cable network" will dispatch its schlubby cameramen to Long Island. If you are a "Strong Island" "It Girl", submit your application! Which part of the potato field will be disgraced? Not the Hamptons! More»

Is there anything more adorable than a baby in a pumpkin patch? Yes! LOTS of babies in a pumpkin patch! Old Navy knows that after finding the perfect costume comes finding the perfect pumpkin. More»
Finding a regular fishing boat with a painted mural on the hull is not a common thing to see, even in the Hamptons. This fishing beauty, named the Hooked Up, was spotted in Oakland's Marina in Hampton Bays, NY. The detailed painting of a scene is of three tuna chasing a school of bait. We normally like to write about some of our most favorite cars in the Hamptons, but when your choice of transportation is between a car or a boat, we will take a boat any day. Though I have not tried them myself or seen them in person, I cannot help being intrigued by the latest subway advertisements for FitFlops, the latest "get a workout while you walk" shoe (and they come in a nice assortment of colors –trust me, I've already checked on Macy's website). I wonder, though, how effective they actually are. I would not call them the most aesthetically pleasing form of footwear, but if they actually are beneficial, then I'd be willing to throw aesthetics out of the window for a nice walk through the park with these new babies.

In line of keeping up with the Joneses, Todd Oldham of Old Navy has decided to do an entire revamp of the store, focusing on making designer inspired fabulous fashion pieces at discount prices. As one fashion blogger notes:
"(I was) pleasantly surprised when I saw the new Old Navy commercial (shown below). It features fair-isle sweaters in stylish cuts that may even be cuter than the $200 Charlotte Ronson sweaters I've noticed on shopbop" [Dress.]
You can't overlook the choice of models in the video either, some great picks. The launch party for the "New Old Navy" was held last night at the Eyebeam Atelier on 21st Street, and the store's PR people did a fabulous job of making sure all the popular 20-somethings were there including Gossip Girl's Blake Lively and Chace Crawford, Hayden Panettiere, Sophie Bush and Kristen Bell. What I am left wondering is why the fuck Richie Rich (of Heatherette fame) was there with Traver Rains? Um, one of these things is not like the other? Richie is about as far away as it gets from being a 20 year old girly diva. Or maybe he fit right in?
