The show might have brought us flying nuns and talking teddy bears, but once the ceremony ended it was all about the exclusive after parties. Even though, only a select few were allowed in, we've rounded up some of the best behind the scene shots and photos from the invite-only bashes, to get a peek inside last night's festivities.

Each year, the Toscar Awards present a night of parody scenes from the year's Oscar-nominated films performed live by Hollywood actors before celebrity judges. It's Oscar season, which means that we'll get to see some of our favorite couture pieces on the red carpet. We love seeing how our favorite celebrities (and their stylists) put their own spin on the gowns. Mark your calendars, because red carpet coverage starts at 5:30 this Sunday.

It's time to find out where some of the best parties and events are happening tonight. As always, you can find the full details as well as more events on our Calendar page. More»

From the Academy Awards to New York Fashion Week, we have a busy month ahead of us and it's time to start marking these dates down. We've got all the major events covered for you, so there's no excuse to fall behind on your social calendar this season.

So Awards Season has finally, finally, lurched to a close, and as we dig ourselves out from under the debris of glitter, old-timey popcorn boxes (seriously, what was up with those?) and injured Cirque du Soleil acrobats, it would be easy to dismiss the whole thing as an overwrought, self-indulgent snoozer. And while that would be largely accurate, we'd be remiss if we didn't acknowledge that the Film Independent Spirit Awards also happened this weekend, and that between host Seth Rogen's killer monologue and the fact that everyone was drinking Irish whiskey the whole time, things were a bit more loose than your average awards show. You know how when you're a kid, you always want to sit with the grown-ups at the big table, but then when you get there you realize that the kids' table was more fun to begin with? That's kind of the deal with the Oscars after party scene, also. Sure, it's a great honor to get invited to the show and the subsequent "Governor's Ball," but there's a reason why the Academy finally scuttled the sit-down dinner element of the Ball for a more streamlined cocktail-party this year: because people kept leaving early to go to all the other parties, including the perpetually star-studded Vanity Fair gala at the Sunset Tower. It's a simple fact that there just aren't enough seats in the Kodak Hollywood & Highland Center to accommodate our nation's massive influx of newly-minted celebrities. I'm sure there was a time where it seemed like every famous face in the world could fit into one theater, but now that you can become an international superstar just by co-starring in Ray J's sex tape, Hollywood's idle rich face a chilling awards-show seating crisis. Luckily, the solution lies, as usual, with magical piano wizard Elton John, who upgraded the size and scale of the 20th incarnation of his annual Oscar viewing party, and raised over $5 million for charity as a result. Let's take a look... More»
