On Saturday, two days before President Obama's Inauguration, EarthWE.com hosted their extraordinarily colorful "A Green Term, Mr. President" event in Downtown L.A. As its name suggests, the eco-mission at the heart of the technicolor day-long event which featured live painting, musicians, and a performance by Ozomatli, was a call to elevate the importance of global warming within the Obama administration's agenda as it begins a second term.

Last night, L.A. LIVE hosted its 5th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting event, kicking off a season of holiday spirit with live music from artists like Cody Simpson, Eric Benet and Barry Manilow, ice skating and of course its majestic sparkling tree.



Perspective is a funny thing. At almost any concert or festival in the world, the presence of Snoop Dogg would indicate that he would automatically be the headliner, which is generally true everywhere from Coachella to the Levi's Haus. But the Spanish-speaking world has its own megastars, which is why, despite being prominently featured at Univision's H2O Music Festival, The Doggfather was, in fact, scheduled only halfway through the evening in order to make room for Latin superstar acts like Paulina Rubio and Wisin & Yandel. Not sure who those guys are? Don't stress it, because based on the giant crowds that swarmed their show this weekend in the L.A. State Historic Park, they're doing just fine with or without you. Patriotic Washingtonians kicked off Independence Day celebrations an the Great American Festival at the stunning Gaylord National Harbor on Saturday. The festival was an all-day party that featured American party favors, drinks, food, and lots of dancing on the beach to music by favorite acts Eve 6, Ozomatli, See-I, DJ Neekola, Lost in Paris, Maskell, DJ Beach, DJ Chris Styles, DJ Flounder, DJ Pat Premier, Horrorscope, Skratch & Sniff, and The Dance Party. Lindy Promotions’ Uncle Sam Jam and HiBall Events’ National FreedomFest are combining forces to bring Washingtonians the inaugural Great American Festival, a day-long music extravaganza that will take over the stunning National Harbor waterfront pavilion, deck, piers and beach on June 30.
“We are excited about throwing our annual Independence Celebration along the Potomac River at the National Harbor. Guests can enjoy the pier and the beach while listening to some of DC’s favorite bands and DJs,” said Rich Shea, President of HiBall Events.
Live bands that will be performing on the DC101 Band Stage include Eve 6, Ozomatli, 18th Street Lounge favorite reggae band See-I, The Dance Party, and Lost in Paris. DJ acts like 99.5's DJ Chris Styles, Skratch & Sniff, Maskell, DJ Pat Premier, DJ Beach, Neekola and DJ Flounder will be spinning throughout the day. More»
