Happy Last Day Page Six Magazine Staff! We Will Miss You!

Today is the official last day of work for many of our friends over at Page Six Magazine.  And, with that, I would like to toast their departures with a quote my sister sent me once when I was feeling pretty low:

“Writing is the only profession where no one considers you ridiculous if you earn no money.” - Jules Renard

Though we will miss your witty contributions at Page Six mag, we are looking forward to the great things you will no doubt be doing, especially you Kelly and Gregory!

Liar, Liar, NY Post On Fire!

UPDATE: Go HERE for Scott Buccheit’s response.

On today’s cover of the New York Post, we were immediately drawn to the headline:Lyin’ Lydia Won’t Come Clean. This was their response to this email that Lydia Hearst wrote to them, resigning her position as guest freelance writer for Page Six Magazine, which we posted exclusively yesterday.  We weren’t entirely shocked to see this dramatic headline; this is, after all, The Post, but we were curious to get to the truth.  It appears that, not only did The Post print a quote that was blatantly and severely edited, they are claiming that Lydia didn’t even WRITE her posts for them.  According to the Post:

“She was interviewed by a reporter, who put her thoughts into cohesive paragraphs.”

Making her look both illegitimate and dumb.

Lydia’s Response to the Drama via her *real Facebook Account:

“With a world fixated on society and scandal on the West Coast, why not turn the tables and focus on this metropolis we call New York. I wasn’t born here. Yet every day I’m faced with the dreaded stereotype of the New York society socialite.

Lydia Hearst Quits Page Six Magazine After Dispute Over Article

Lydia Hearst is not happy.  Understandably.  Page Six Magazine, the publication SHE writes for in “The Hearst Chronicles” posted an article in its October 24th issue that was complete BS according to the heiress/supermodel.  She subsequently quit.  Team Lydia!  Her email to the Post follows:

“As a result of the article titled “Blood Dispute” in the October 24th issue of Page Six, I am compelled to resign from my position as Freelance Journalist for Page Six Magazine.

Kelly Will Takes On “Six In The City” For Page Six Magazine

kelly willI’ll never forget the first time I met Kelly Will. I was new on the scene and didn’t quite know what to make of my surroundings: Penthouse at the Soho Grand.  It was an after party for some movie or another, though I couldn’t tell you what.  And Kelly, seemingly unsure on how uncomfortable I was at the time, graciously chatted me up like we had been friends for years.  She looked like the kind of girl that knew EVERYTHING about the city and it’s societal affairs.  She did too. Thankfully, I’ve managed to materialize that night into an actual friendship.  She has done me the honor of writing for gofg on occasion and I could not be more pleased to hear that she is the new go to gal over at Page Six Magazine.

The “Tribe” Takes On Angels And Kings…And Page Six Magazine

rachelleYesterday, it was my turn to meet the Page Six Magazine team for a photo shoot at the ever popular Angels & Kings.  Our “tribe” consisted of Liam McMullan, Shaggy, Myself, and…Izzy Gold, (who when asked just what he was trying to do told me “I just want to give people something to believe in.”  Who can argue with that?)  The highlight of the day was getting my hair and makeup done.  I always marvel at the hair and makeup artists, each one perfecting his/her craft along the way.

The Wei: OMFG, I’m a Page Six Magazine IT Girl!!!

It’s weird to see a photo spread of yourself in a Magazine, especially posing with Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick (better known as “Chuck Bass”). It’s even crazier to be tagged by Page Six Magazine as one of three NYC’s IT Girls. But I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty cool and exciting!!!

I was having breakfast on Sunday morning at a diner in Quogue with Rachelle, David X Prutting, and two other friends when I remembered that the story was in Page Six Magazine. We all huddled around to see the photo and read the “blurb” about me.

I love love love the picture of Ed and I!

Quote Of The Day: Lydia Hearst

lydia hearst

“Remember: I am a supermodel and have the award to prove it, and she (Paris Hilton) is a celebrity. There’s no comparison.” [Page Six]

I loves it.  It’s true too you know.

Lydia Hearst is doing some guest blogs for Page Six magazine. So far she has let us in on her acting plans, her fun with the Gossip Girl cast members, The Eldridge, and a Marcello handbag by Cartier that she is loving.

The Wei: My Page Six Magazine Photo Shoot With Ed Westwick

Stephanie WeiWhile Gossip Girl co-stars Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Blake Lively were celebrating the opening of Bridgehampton Polo and Chace Crawford’s birthday in the Hamptons this past Saturday, Ed Westwick stayed behind to relax, sun and take in his first summer in NYC. I had been out east for most of the weekend, but had to skip Chace Crawford’s birthday to return to the city. From what I’ve heard, I missed a good party, but like I always say, there’ll always be another one.

Instead, I had something much more exciting on my calendar for Sunday morning, a photo shoot for a feature in Page Six Magazine’s Fall Fashion issue. Wait, it gets better. The shoot was an exclusive with Ed Westwick!
