Parking spaces are blocks of ugly, single-function asphalt taking up space that might otherwise be something unique. At least, that's the reasoning behind this Friday's Park[ing] Day LA, our local installment of an international movement to temporarily beautify the city by turning parking spaces into miniature parks for a day.
