This might seem obvious, but in order for a weekly party to stand out from the crowd, it has to offer something unique. But in a city where you tend to see the same people at the same "exclusive" parties week after week (seriously, doesn't Bai Ling ever just stay home and watch "Parks & Rec"?), being unique is easier said than done. Luckily, Bardot's weekly reincarnation of legendary long-running Hollywood glam-rock party Diamond Dogs has individuality to spare. Here, courtesy of The Cobrasnake, are some examples of what you're missing out on if you haven't checked it out yet. More»

They're probably not as wild as Aaron Carter's parties, but the Brooklyn rave scene is pretty much a close second. With the music, people, and decor, raves are the only places you can have an acid trip without actually being on acid, unless you wanted to of course. Check out our survival guide to the Brooklyn rave scene! More»
[Tinsley Mortimer did it up big time this year!] As 2011 comes to an end, it's time to reminisce. What better way to gear up for 2012 than by taking a trip, or stumble, down memory lane. It's Friday after Fashion Week and you feel like you might throw up. It wasn't the usual couple shots of tequila last night or greasy late night pizza that has given your body the shakes and your eyes that bloodshot glisten. No, it was the full week of early mornings, numerous wardrobe changes, stiletto heels, flashing lights, celebrity/twitter/Missoni overload and oh yeah, the partying you did every single night. No need to brag. It's over. Now let's try and remember what happened...
President Obama celebrated Wednesday night in Chicago with huge fundraisers, but celebrated the actual evening of his birthday Thursday night with a patio party for about 200 in the White House Rose Garden.

Somehow, we got together as a nation, and decided that in the interest of cultural authenticity, the best way to celebrate our country would be with hamburgers, beer and explosions. This was a fantastic decision on our part, because by choosing to celebrate ourselves in this way, we've created a holiday so easy to love that even jaded hipsters with oh-so-ironic communist tattoos (see above) have no choice but to celebrate it. Luckily there was a block party with The Cobra Snake for them yesterday. More»
