A few film crews showed up to our little relaunch party last night, and, unsurprisingly, things got catty! We’re not sure what exactly they were fighting about, but multiple sources tell us Tinsley Mortimer and Dabney Mercer took on Devorah Rose in one of Bar 675’s alcoves. More»

The event took place at Saks Fifth Avenue, where the Louis Vuitton department was decked out with LV topiary, dangling ribbons, crystals, and of course, the collection’s trunks and bags. More»

[Paul Johnson-Calderon and Jules Kirby, during happier times]. Uh-oh. Looks like Paul Johnson-Calderon (PJC) has had a problem with security cameras, again. Only eight short months after the bow tie wearing social gay was caught stealing a handbag on film at the Eldridge, there’s another run-in with surveillance cameras, but this time it’s not for being a klepto. Last week the boy-social was caught on cam for breaking-and-entering with a touch of vandalism!

We haven’t checked in with our favorite klepto, Paul Johnson-Calderon, since “the incident” that sparked a world of controversy, and landed him in all of the gossip pages of the land. Long story short, this socialite was caught stealing a purse from the Eldridge and we managed to secure the footage of him in action! Well, last night at the Whitney, PJC proved that he was ready to let bygones be bygones, going so far to even show off this friendly “5 finger discount dance” (at left). CUTE! More»

Our post on socialite Paul Johnson-Calderon stealing a purse from the Eldridge last Friday has almost 100 comments on it-and this is after the ones we have moderated for being too defamatory. It has also consistently been a top hit post each day. Today, the post showed up in the NY Post’s Page Six. Even Kristian Laliberte has written on the issue for ASW. Lesson learned: stealing is bad.  Add in the fact that we are in the biggest recession of our lives and that it’s a NYC SOCIALITE, and we’ve got a definite BUZZ issue on our hands.  We predict that the days of free giveaways to celebrities and the micro-famous is nearing its end.
