Friday night, GGeisha's Dripped fashion collective teamed up with Annex Magazine to host its first “Chic Fashion Soiree” trunk show of 2013 at IOTA Cafe in Koreatown. Feet away from the area's neon boba tea shops were equally colorful models, designers, photographers and creative professionals celebrating Dripped's new monthly residency at the K-town cafe. The kickoff event, "Lovers Of Fashion," showcased installations by local designers Jen Awad, KittenHawk, and Montenegro, with snacks, Peronis, Rony's Photobooth, hair stylists and makeup artists all on hand to make sure everyone looked and felt their best. Peep the photos in our slideshow for a look at the series launch event and check back for details on the next Dripped trunk show.

At the beginning of every month out east there are two things I look forward to: The new release of Social Life Magazine AND the Issue Release Party at the Social Life Estate in Watermill. The two go together better than peanut butter and jelly. Early August was no exception as the east end jet-setters pulled themselves away from the BH Polo matches to get ready to celebrate Polo player Chris Del Gatto’s Social Life Cover at the SL Estate.
This is the one party that you always have to get to on time or you won’t be getting in. OR, you might get in but you have to worry whether your Porsche out front is getting towed. By the time I left I watched the angry cops taking pleasure in towing luxurious cars like the blue Porsche convertible that was parked next to the driveway. Ironically, the cops were not toying with the Hondas or Fords. Clearly some selective animosity there!
