Apparently over the weekend at the Nantucket Film Festival, Brian Williams moderated the Screenwriters Tribute to filmmaker Paul Haggis and was making jokes at the Hamptons expense, saying that now with new sponsorships, such as BMW, things are starting to get pretentious. More»

Curbed Hamptons recently announced Nick Leighton's new role as editor, as their previous editor, Ian Ratner will be moving to Real Estate Editor. You might recognize Leighton as a host from Plum TV, known for getting the dirt on celebrities in the Hamptons. Leighton is already shaking up the site, posting about the film "A Good Old Fashioned Orgy"...

White House party crasher Michaele Salahi might be charging for TV appearances and endorsements these days, but back at the 2008 World Snow Polo Championships in Aspen, Salahi offered her services to for free More»

Kelly BensimonWe met Kelly Bensimon last summer, when she wasn't yet a "Real Housewife of New York" but just a mom, hanging out in the Hamptons with our friends at Plum TV (whom she did "Behind the Hedges With Kelly Killoren Bensimon" with). Since then, she has won over hearts on the show.  Friends like Dan Honan describe Kelly as "sporty and adventurous" (indeed on Plum's show they had her drive race cars, play Polo, and swimming with sharks off the coast of Montauk!) But at the heart of Kelly's character is the desire to continually broaden her horizons.

Jennifer Creel used to walk the runway back in the day, and she hasn't forgotten her moves.  Today, she demonstrates for Plum TV with a step-by-step guide.

"Earlier today, our fashion reporter Lauren Ezersky interviewed designer Monique Lhuillier backstage about her line at the 2009 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Lhuillier, who is most known for her wedding line, is showing a fanciful collection of gowns and day-wear. We like the bodiced tulle gowns and high-waisted pants. Very flattering!" [Plum TV]

From Plum TV:

The Fashion Week show for Designer Patricia Fields was a raucous affair. The styles were superb, but dare we say that Patricia stole the show. With potentially one too many celebration cocktails catwalking through her system, she kept things interesting, and more importantly, happy.

Plum TV went to Norwood for Lydia Hearst's Fame Fatale Premiere Party.  While there, they chatted with Lovely Lydia about her newest film.  Her party at the recently opened, uber exclusive Eldridge is tonight, and we have been assured, this is one fashion party that is worth crashing, though it will be IMPOSSIBLE for that to happen.  If you're not on the list you ain't getting in!

Ever wonder what's in the gift bags of those fabulous fashion parties you're missing out on?

Nick Leighton dissects the Resurrection Party's Gift Bag at Christie's for Plum TV.  Um, Nick...did you miss the memo or something?  This isn't the Hamptons anymore, this is the BIG CITY and people don't go to parties just for the gift bags....they are actually there to see the clothes.  We'll forgive you this once, as you are a newbie on the scene, but, take it from a pro, you don't see Kelly Cultrone video blogging about her gift bag do you!? Trés Tacky.

Summer's almost over and Plum TV has decided that they were having just way too much fun to call it quits.  SO, they're heading onto the island to cover fashion week.  With Kelly Killoren Bensimon and Jennifer Creel to help, they are sure to continue their socialite coverage for us into the fall, beginnning with a debate on which presidential candidate's wife has the better style (video above).

Go here to check out all of their plans for fashion week!

It's shark week over at Plum TV and they have just given us the exclusive video. This one's short and definitely worth a watch. My favorite part: "Hurray- HU-RAAY"...now there's no 'hurray-hurray' we just let them go." I want to give God a high five for creating Frank Mundus, the legendary Montauk shark fisherman.
