Me: "Well, it's like supposed to be a dinner that recognizes the outstanding works by journalists over the year in their coverage of all things White House related. But, it's pretty much just a chance for all of the nerds in DC to get their photos taken with celebrities in order to build their cred with their children/on Facebook."

This indie flick about an illiterate, overweight Harlem woman certainly has an unexpected fanbase in the hearts of New York Cities rich and fashionable elite.
