The Democratic Leadership for the 21st Century (DL21C), decided to host their Election Day party at a venue that matches up with their long, big name. New World Stages, located on West 50th Street , actually boasts about 60, 000 sq feet of space which was taken over by DL21C last night. Guests watched the states' results on 15 feet screen projections elections surrounded by patriotic balloons, booze, and pro-Obama accessories. Guests included the cast of the hit show Altar Boyz, Chris London, Council Memmber Eric Gioia, Luke Parkin, Michael Cooper, Elizabeth Caputo, Jack Layton and of course many, many more!

"It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America." [Obama's Speech after winning presidency]
As I'm typing this I am hearing ROARS from Bowery. I have never believed in democracy more than I do tonight. I have never been so proud to be an American. Whether Democrat or Republican, male or female, black, white, or purple...this has never been more of your country than it is tonight! How lucky are we all to witness such a profound act of character as in the video above? How lucky are we that get to live in the best city in the best country in the world? The men that we chose in this election to represent our parties were class acts. They have both made me proud to call this country mine. God Bless America, and no matter where we lie in our differences of opinion, may we all unite to support Obama in this, the toughest job in the world.
