GofG L.A.'s favorite brash, hell-raising infant was back in full effect for Weekend 1 of Coachella. Much like his coverage of Sundance, Party Baby staked out this action-packed weekend and all of its wonders, from the festival to the parties and beyond, documenting his debaucherous journey throughout his very first Coachella experience. Living up to his reputation for being an absolute monster, Party Baby took this assignment on like a true beast without a care in the world. So here, in his own words, is an inside look at how Party Baby went totally H.A.M. all over Coachella 2012. More»

Sometimes one weekend just isn't enough. This year Coachella upped the ante by stacking two weekends full of crazy awesome live performances and endless amounts of booze. And with this weekend having temperatures over 100 degrees and sunny skies (opposed to last weekend's sprinkles and uncharacteristic cold temps), Coachellians were especially ready to rage. If you missed it, take a look at what happened in the desert over the weekend... More»

Welcome to round two of Coachella Weekend 2012. With one weekend down and another three days of shows ahead of me, it's almost like I get a do-over and can now make educated decisions for this round of Coachella evening stage-hopping. Having this personal wisdom and experience from which to base this weekend's festival choices, I thought I'd share my humble opinion with you all for anyone who cares to know what my picks and nixes for shows to see this weekend. There are many out there who disagree with much of what I'm about to submit to you but, as my dad always says, that's why there's chocolate and vanilla. Therefore, here's why I think you can't miss Calvin Harris and should *seriously* consider forgoing Radiohead in my Coachella Weekend 2 Shows to See & Skip. More»

So... who's had lunch? If you've chowed down at the Empire Polo Club yet, you may be finding that we were seeing into the future when we originally posted  about the serious detective work of food blog Food Is The New Rock, who came up with this hilarious day-by-day food lineup for Coachella 2012. MORE>>

With the first weekend of Coachella in the books already, it might be understandable to think that the music community was going into a four-day hibernation to gear up for Friday. However, Goldenvoice is instead seizing the opportunity of having so many big-name bands sticking around for the week and throwing incredible shows all over the greater L.A. area, including possibly the greatest week of shows Pomona has ever seen. We posted a thorough breakdown of Coachella-related L.A. shows when they were announced last month, and it's even more relevant today. So don't wait until the weekend, Go See A Show! MORE>>

Coachella-goers: by now, hopefully, you've got yourself together. You're dressed, ready, you've studied the setlist, maybe you're even at the gates already. But, tragic as it is to admit, you can't be everywhere at once, so you've still got some tough choices to make. Well don't worry, we cover Coachella year-round around these parts, and that means we've already prepared a day-by-day breakdown of our top picks for unmissable shows– some headliners and some more obscure. If you're waking up this morning at a campground, hotel or rented party house (lucky you!) in the Greater Palm Springs Area, then you woke up just in time. And if you're still in the car, you should probably step on the gas. Why? Because in less than an hour from when this sentence is currently being typed, the festival gates at the Empire Polo Club will be thrown open, with the very first act of the weekend (DJ Méa, in the Sahara tent) starting at 11:20 a.m. sharp. But, well, you'd already know that if you'd been looking at the set list, wouldn't you? MORE>>

Good news for all you Dad types who stockpile mounds of batteries and get to the airport three hours early, "just in case": Goldenvoice understands your neurotic need to pre-plan. That's why, hot on the heels of releasing the set list and times this morning, they've now released the official Venue Map this afternoon, complete with the locations of all the stages, beer gardens, ATMs, and everything else you need to make sure that your weekend in the desert is as smooth and productive as possible. We have the full map after the jump, so start planning your bathroom breaks now! More»

In typical Goldenvoice fashion, with less than 61 hours until the festival grounds open for Coachella 2012, they threw us a bone and posted the show set times for each of the three days of Weekend 1, indicating who will be playing which stages when. As with every year before set times are released, I've been getting a daily dose of anxiety over potential conflicting shows of the artists I most want to see. God forbid I'd have to choose between Pulp and M83... I mean, no question Pulp would win but I've been listening to Hurry Up, We're Dreaming a lot recently in anticipation of that show so missing it would be très lame and sad. But you'll sleep better tonight knowing I've gotten some relief now that the weekend show schedule is out because I know you were starting to get concerned about me. More»

Last night's parties were all about dressing to impress. More»
