Last night, Teen Vogue editor Amy Astley threw a party at Rose Bar for “The Teen Vogue Handbook: An Insider’s Guide To Careers In Fashion Today“. The party featured guests from the fashion world such as Chanel Iman, Vera Wang, Oliva Palermo, Rachel Roy, Patrick Demarchelier, and Helen Lee Schifter. Also there to represent the book’s target audience were various teenagers, although it seems pretty obvious that if you’re at a party with Vera Wang and Patrick Demarchelier, you don’t really need Teen Vogue to tell you how to break into the Fashion world. Last night, the world premiere of Columbia Picture’s Julie And Julia took place at the Ziegfeld Theater. The movie is based on the real life story of Julie Powell (who was in attendance) who cooked her way through Julia Child’s cookbook and (what else?) blogged about it.The wonderful Meryl Streep and Amy Adams were present.The premier also brought outc hefs– Martha Stewart, Rachel Ray as well as fashion/art ladies like Rachel Roy, Yoko Ono, Jazmine Gonzales.

Yesterday the Cinema Society along with Brooks Brothers & Cotton decicated a whole night to the highly anticipated Sundance movie, 500 Days of Summer. A screening was held at the Tribeca Grand hotel and it was followed by a party at sister hotel, Soho Grand. The night saw guests such as Leighton Meester, Anna Wintour, Hilary Rhoda, Rachel Roy, Kelsey Grammer, among others, enjoyed the breezy NYC evening as we all hope for at least 500 more days of REAL summer.
