After last year’s controversial, and what looked like very restricting, depiction of the Hindu goddess Kati (below), one might predict Heidi Klum would tone down her choice of Halloween costume. Nope. The supermodel and her hubby Seal dressed as crows for their annual All Hallow’s Eve extravaganza. At West Hollywood’s Voyeur, the event highlight for us was the contrast of creativity with a total lack thereof. For example, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt dressed as the tooth fairy and a tooth, while Rachel Zoe and Steve Bing were a billionaire and a stylist. What a coincidence.

Art Dealers Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Andy Valmorbida’s after-party for their presentation of works by artist Richard Hambleton at New York City restaurant, Indochine, was so hot it caused a party-goer to faint Tuesday night, and luckily there was an Olsen twin on hand to help. While we were chatting with society photog Patrick McMullan, he made the bold statement that the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel was the biggest opening since Studio 54. After considering it, he might be right (the man’s definitely an authority, having been to both).  Just sitting in Andre Balazs’s new spot, you can feel the scene. There’s a certain energy in the air. That got us thinking, what really would make a new Studio 54?
