If all the party-minded teenagers disappeared from your town and/or city over the last 4 days, it's probably because world-famous DJ/producer/Dim Mak label head Steve Aoki just kicked off the "Deadmeat" tour, where Aoki and Datsik will spend the next few months selling out historic theaters and concert arenas around the country. Now, as far as the various ways children rebel, attending the odd electro rave or two isn't as bad as, say, joining the Young Republicans club or something: sure, they're bound to experiment a little bit, but that's going to happen anyway, and at least they're partying under the guidance of a master DJ. Being a DJ must be completely exhausting. I don't necessarily mean that in the Deadmau5, "pounding a bottle of absinthe before I go on stage," celebrity definition of exhaustion, although that certainly happens. It's just that all the crazy lights, anime robots, thumping dubstep beats, and raving teenagers must really wear you down. I can't even watch an hour of Transformers 3 without wanting to take a nap. And if you're Skrillex, the "boy king of electronic dance music," and you basically play a new show every night? Oh it sure did, Kaskade. Because Anthony Weiner, Charlie Sheen and the Morgan Freeman death hoax were not enough to prove the power of social networking, yesterday the famous DJ tweeted the following to his 90,000+ Twitter followers to test it out for himself:
