Friday night, Paper Magazine and Ray-Ban celebrated Paper's annual summer music issue at the highly anticipated 2009 Sounds Like Paper at the stunning South Street Seaport. Prep-pop duo, Chester French, performed selected songs from their upcoming album, Love the Future, and got the crowd ravenously hungry for hipster-hip-hopper, Kid Cudi, who carried the honeyed heat and heavy hype with him during his powerful performance and topped off the enchanted evening by daringly diving into the sea of sweaty hands and fanatical fans. This Sunday, Ray-Ban threw their annual Ray-Ban Visionary Award in Utah.  This year's award went to actor Ewan McGregor, presented to him by  fellow actor and friend Alan Cumming who exclaimed "Ray-Ban is a brand that is classic and edgy and when I think of Ewan I think of exactly the same thing." Guests included Eliza Dushku, Roman Diaz, Ralph Macchio and others.

Ray-Ban won the hearts of every cool kid across the globe last summer with their color-tastic Wayfarers and they are out to do it again with the revamp of their 1986 "Club Masters". Ray-Ban celebrated the new sun blockers Tuesday night at NYC's Bowery Ballroom with a performance by indie fave, The Black Kids, and guests who kept their shades on way past sundown including Gossip Girl-ers Penn Badgely, Blake Lively, and Ed Westwick, along with Maggie Gyllenhaal, love bugs Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, Kevin Bacon, and Robert Buckley.
