I know, everyone is jumping for joy over the clothes, clothes, clothes! More from the weekend, we have Aysha Saeed’s Pop Up shop, which included sweets and shopping at Cielo. There was also Genetic Denim, an art installation of models and jeans. Then Mena Suvari, Anisha Lakhani and Alexa Chung joined Rebecca Taylor for her presentation and afterparty at Rm. Samantha Swetra, Erin LucasThe Rebecca Taylor Fall 2009 Collection is inspired by imagery from Northern European fairy tales or more realistically, a young, girlish but sophisticated European traveler. The palette is deep hues of violet and pomegranate softened with natural girlish shades of beige and pink. Ultra feminine ruffled tops and playful dresses are softly embellished. Her ensembles are a mixed of the softest wool and cashmere with chiffon, velvet and taffeta. The jewel tones and flirty floral prints added a jolt of vibrancy to the collection that is sure to enliven any bleak Fall wardrobe. Rebecca has always been known for her fancy of all things feminine. This collection however, has a mix of clean cut sophistication that entices every woman’s heart.

The Rebecca Taylor Spring 2009 Show took place on Day 7 of Fashion Week, and the collection lived up to her name - very feminine, pretty, a bit sexy and overall versatile. The Spring Rebecca Taylor girl is an uber stylish world traveler whose fashion sense is a mix of simple, clean and natural chic with references to the 1970’s.

After the show, 40 plus VIPs headed to Artisanal Bistro & Wine Bar just a few blocks from the tent, to a party hosted by social darlings Mina-Jacqueline Au, Anisha Lakhani & Jill Fairchild, all dressed in shades of pinks and creams Rebecca Taylor frocks. Guests were presented with an array of wine & cheese pairings at the cocktail as well as fondues served with crudites and fingerlings. Amongst guests’ favorite were baskets full of Gougeres which socialite Emma Snowdon-Jones and host Mina-Jacqueline Au were seen hogging over.
