The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation held its first ever benefit Wednesday night at MoMA, featuring such perks as a private viewing of Picasso's Guitars exhibit and a special performance by the exquisite Regina Spektor. Meanwhile, The New York Harbor School celebrated its move to Governor's Island (where better for a sea-themed high school?) at its annual fundraiser at the New York Yacht Club. The festivities began with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by Congressman Tim Bishop followed by tennis matches featuring pro players Luke Jensen, Murphy Jensen and Todd Martin including a "Play with the Pro" tennis workshop for students followed by a live auction. Thank God. Weeds is back on Showtime and I finally have some good television to watch again. When I heard Regina Spektor's "Little Boxes" song come on, all of my hectic Monday troubles started to melt away. I am so excited to see what Nancy Botwin has up her sleeves this season, and, judging from the season premiere, I am going to have more than my fill of hysterical scenes inside the life of a suburban drug dealer.
