Wilson Tavern, the small restaurant bar that has become an obsession for Arlingtonians, is having their opening party tonight to celebrate new ownership under nightlife mastermind Reese Gardner--the man behind Irish Whiskey Public House, Mighty Pint and Midtown Partyplex.

Wilson Tavern has been totally gutted with a new sound system, decor, and a new menu. Come on Tuesdays for $2 mahi-mahi fish tacos, or Mondays for 25-cent wings. Like the "old" Wilson Tavern, brunch will feature steep drink prices like $2 mimosas and glasses of champagne. More»

This is very exciting news for The Valley! The burgeoning empire of Umami Burger, which already has four locations and a truck, will soon expand to the other side of the hill with an outpost at Ventura and Laurel Canyon.  The restaurant is set to open on September 1, a date that will go down in history as the day that there became another reason to go to the valley besides sushi and car shopping.
