Guests had a chance to shop all while helping out a great cause. 15% of all proceeds from the day went to Riverkeeper, an environmental organization that works to protect the ecological integrity of the Hudson River and its tributaries, and safeguard the drinking water supply of New York City and the lower Hudson Valley. Decked out in a custom Paul Stuart red linen tuxedo, DJ Cassidy threw a birthday bash set for the books. First, it was held at the NYC Public Library! Second, Bobby Brown came out of nowhere to do a special performance. Also, Jay-Z was in the house, amongst many GofG fans (like Carson who interviewed Cassidy last week, and took a break from the Hamptons to make it to the party). JT White scored the photos. MORE>>>>

Last night, the dreary skies couldn't keep our NYC socials from trying to save our beautiful rivers. Riverkeeper's Amanda Hearst and Luigi Tadini welcomed friends to"BLUE" - A Junior Council Soiree Event to Benefit Riverkeeper on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel (where the Hudson would have been visible, had the weather cooperated). Riverkeeper Organization has been protecting the ecological integrity of the Hudson River and it's tributaries, and safeguarding the drinking water of NYC for over 40 years.

Riverkeeper, an organization whose goal is to keep New York City's water clean, hosted an event Tuesday night at the Frank Gehry designed IAC Building. The event included a silent auction with work from artists including Obama portait all-star Shepard Fairey, William Wegman, and Philip Tsiaras. Debbie Harry took to the stage while guests including the organization's co-chair and environmentalist Robert Kennedy Jr., Richard Gere with his wife Carey Lowell, Lauren Hutton, Matt Dillon, Alex Matthiessen, Richard Belzer, and Harlee McBridean sipped cocktails and shopped art for the cause.

Amanda Hearst and Luigi Tadini, co-chairs of Riverkeeper hosted an event at the Ralph Lauren store on West Broadway last night and brought out loads of socials who shopped for a good cause. Riverkeeper is the organization who's goal it is to "Defend the Hudson River". It is an independent, member-supported organization "founded on the premise that citizens themselves must roll up their sleeves to defend our waterways." And those sleeves might as well be Ralph Lauren ones right? (15% of all the sales last night went to the cause). More photos to come later today.
