CHANEL’s Tribeca Film Festival Dinner At Odeon

Woody Allen took a break from battling American Apparel to attend the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his new movie, “Whatever Works” on Wednesday night at the Royalton Hotel. The film marks the end of Allen’s five year hiatus from shooting in his beloved New York City. Celebrating Allen’s cinematic homecoming were “Whatever Works” stars Evan Rachel Wood, Larry David, Patricia Clarkson and Henry Cavill, as well as Tribeca Jurors Mary-Kate Olsen, Bradley Cooper, Parker Posey, and Melissa Leo. Robert De Niro Welcomes Tribeca Film Supporters To Tavern On The Green

Last night, the Tribeca Film Institute hosted a special screening of the movie Quantum of Solace as part of thier annual fall benefit. Then the afterparty was a dinner party held at Tavern On The Green. The Tribeca Film power partners, Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro were present as well as Julia Stiles, Becki Newton, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Jeffrey Wright, Debra Messing, Andre Balazs, and other supporters of Film and the Tribeca neighborhood.

Interview With Joe Stallone, Famous Faux Finisher
I had the chance to sit down with world-class faux finisher Joe Stallone in his apartment, fresh off his latest job, Robert De Niro’s new Greenwich Hotel. Joe’s work surrounded us as we sat and talked on his sofa, from the gorgeous faux doors and cabinets, to the Tondo he made on the wall in the style of the Renaissance greats. Though this Tondo used to be a hose, it now sparkles gold, flawlessly framing a giant painting of a nude.
What is the best part of the job? Is it seeing clients’ expressions after you transform a steel door to antique rosewood—or what?
JS: The actual doing of it, I’d say. That’s the fun.
