Did you know that Stuart Weitzman is a competitive ping pong player? According to Derek Blasberg, he practices with a robot. We’re not exactly sure what that means, but last night, the shoe designer/table tennis pro hosted a ping pong tournament at the new SPiN ping pong club, in support of Ovarian Cancer Research. Last night, Longchamp and Elle hosted a performance by pianist Eldar at the uptown store to benefit the Kipton Art Foundation. The charity namesake was there with Olivia Palermo, Kelly Cutrone, Anisha Lakhani, Kimberly Guilfoyle Villency, Anne Slowey, Chessy Wilson, Zev Eisenberg, Scott Buccheit, Robert Fowler, Whitney Port, Minnie Mortimer, Stephen Gaghan and Maggie Rizer; a group who will maintain very busy schedules over the next two weeks as tent time arrives in Bryant Park. The guests relaxed with the contemporary jazz tracks, a glimpse of the musician’s recently released “Virtue” album.

Cancer101 sort of sounds like an ill fated biology class from college, no? Well, Cancer101 is in fact a non-for-profit organization whose mission is to “empower patients, survivors, caregivers and those affected by breast cancer to take control of their diagnosis by providing them with the necessary armor to fight the disease.” On June 30, Cancer101 hosted “Big Top At The Bowery” a benefit cocktail party at The Bowery Hotel honoring patients, survivors, and caregivers.
