Monique Pean Uses Precious Stones To Raise Money For Charity:Water With Help From Lauren Bush
[Monique Pean, Lauren Bush. All photos by NICK HUNT for PMc] Fashion, art, and philanthropy collided and converged to set the stage for the showcase of Monique Pean’s fine jewelry collection yesterday at the Hosfelt Gallery. Lauren Bush, Robert Verdi and Kate Davidson Hudson were just a few of those who showed up in support of Pean’s environmentally friendly accessories that turn us green with envy. Funds raised from the sales are to be directed toward charity: water, the non-profit organization dedicated to bringing pure drinking water to developing nations around the world.

BlackBook Magazine, Basil Hayden Bourbon, and Robert Verdi hosted the “Summer in Style” event at Kobe Beach Club last Saturday. Guests (who were quite fashionable I might add) at the soiree were treated to an array of delicious hors d’oeuvres such as lobster rolls, Kobe beef sliders, Kobe beef ravioli, mini crab cakes, bruschetta and salmon tartare while sipping delicious Basil Hayden cocktail concoctions and music by DJ Jesse Marco.

Let us catch our breath before we begin. Ok, ready, here we go.
We began our night with dinner at La Esquina with Matt Levine. Matt is the owner/designer of Steelo Clothing but we weren’t there to discuss clothes. He was excited to tell us about his newest venture, The Eldridge. The Eldridge is the name of the new club that is going to be opening within the next couple of weeks. We know you’ve all heard this before, but we believe this time it’s true, the Eldridge is going to be unlike any club in New York City. The Eldridge is going to be more exclusive and luxurious than anything currently out there. It is going to raise the bar on New York nightlife. And that’s all we can say…for now.

Last night there was an intimate viewing party for Robert Verdi’s new show “She’s Got The Look” at Verdi’s Luxe Laboratory. Rachel Heller got the scoop on the series which we are all dying to see. She reports:
“We hung around and sipped wine, ate amazing chocolates, catered by bite, while talking about the field of over-35 women who are competing Top Model-style for a Wilhelmina contract, it was a very interesting group of people.”

This Wednesday, on the rooftop of the Cornelia Day Resort on Fifth Avenue, a cancer-kicking fundraiser for Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers took place. It was to support breast care and well-being for the uninsured and underinsured. Hosted by Robert Verdi and Da Silvano, there was a live auction presided by Steve Schirripa and a guest performance by Tina Brown.

Backstage at the Rock & Republic show this weekend, it was all hats and black (and a little purple mixed in for fun). So did those hats stay on for the after party at 1OAK? I bet little Richie Akiva was in seventh heaven Saturday night, playing host to the ultra fabulous. Pictured below with the lovely Lydia, sans puma bag.
