It's a Frieze Frenzy this week on New York's art scene -- the Randall's Island art fair boasts over 180 galleries, with a slew of accompanying parties and events. To coincide with the festivities, art fairs NADA, Pulse, and Verge will also be convening. But that's not all, folks. The British are coming! Frieze Art Fair, the crown jewel of London's art scene, invades New York City next weekend, May 4-7. And it promises to be quite the spectacle -- over 180 international contemporary galleries will display their art treasures, including the notoriously coy Gagosian Gallery.

Yesterday, Fader Fort sponsored by Converse kicked off their SXSW schedule with live performances by Troy Noka, White Arrows, Django Django, Young L, Friends, Oberhofer, Santigold, Danny Brown, and with DJ sets Jazz One, Nick Catchdubs, and Nguzunguzu. 2 Chainz was supposed to play, but was found shopping for Converse in the VIP section, and apparently didn't know he was supposed to play a set.
