Nerd Prom in Washington is officially over, and all of the celebrities are back home. We've discussed this before, but with their crazy production values and hip, high-end launch parties, we're pretty sure video games are officially way cooler than movies at this point. Sure, The Avengers was pretty good, but we don't remember being invited to a DTLA art gallery for a party featuring original artwork, a Revolutionary War photobooth, free cocktails, and music from DJ Skee like last night's "Art of the Assassin" event for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III. The Wanamaker Wet Party, in partnership with Rock the Vote and Metromix DC, brings an entirely new concept to the Washington, DC live music scene with an end-of-summer electronic music festival on Sunday, Sep. 18 from 12 P.M. to 10 P.M. held entirely outdoors at the Yards on the Park near Nationals Stadium.
