[All photos by CHANCE YEH for PMc]. Yesterday, Saks Fifth Avenue hosted a Roger Vivier cocktail party with former Chanel/Lagerfeld muse Inès de la Fressange in the label's department, a sharp setting of tall heels, clutches and killer accessories. Alexandra Lebenthal, Lydia Fenet, Kimberly Guilfoyle Villency, Anisha Lakhani and Allison Aston came for a little power browsing and leisurely sipping in the store, a low key event to round out Fashion Week.
While most people in the fashion industry are eager for any form of publicity they can scrounge up, this certainly does not ring true for Britt Aboutaleb, the associate editor for Fashionista.com, the style website with the cult-like following. When a picture of the 24 year-old popped up on Altamira only months ago, the responses, while all positive, were ones of "Oh, that's what she looks like!". And her PMc count remains at a low 5 pictures, despite the countless events she attends every week for her high profile job. So why does the adorable young editor shroud herself in an air of mystery? It's certainly not due to a lack of style. Nor a lack of shyness - Fashionista.com is known for their "Life With" feature, an interview section of their site that takes an in-depth look at professionals and individuals involved in the fashion industry, with each lengthy one-on-one usually conducted by Britt. So why the hide-out? More»

For Roger Viver's party to preview the Spring/Summer Cut Up: A Unique and Personalized Bag last night, a wide range of fashion participants arrived at the designer's New York store where the event was being held. Everyone from Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley to fashion icon Lee Radziwell to reality star (sorta?) Kelly Bensimon showed up in honor of Roger Viver's latest creation. Afterall, New Yorkers are always looking for any excuse to party - or to have a cocktail. More»
[Bruno Frisoni and Amanda Brooks. Photos by CLINT SPALDING for PMc] The man behind the stiletto, Roger Vivier, and a new French Riviera Collection, were celebrated at the Roger Vivier boutique in New York City last night. The cocktail party was hosted by designer Bruno Frisoni and Amanda Brooks, and party-goers were able to sample the goods while enjoying their beverages. With the Cannes Film Festival coming up next month, we'd advise stocking up on the collection before making hotel arrangements. Guests included Celerie Kemble, Kate Schelter, Samantha Boardman, Amy Astley, Emanuele della Valle, and Olya and Charles Thompson, among other stylish folk eager to view the design house's new footwear.

Roger Vivier may have died in '98 but his whimsical and charming shoes will always have a life of their own. This sort of 'mood of the shoes' made for a very lively cocktail party at the Roger Vivier Store at 750 Madison Avenue. It wasn't just any cocktail party that brought out Bruno Frisoni (who is now Artistic Director of Roger Viver), Andre Leon Talley, Rachel Roy, Maggie Rizer, Peter Som and a ton of socials. This was a cocktail party to benefit New Yorkers for Children, founded by Nicholas Scopetta to support children in foster care.
