[Photos by BEN GABBE for PMc] The Roundabout Theater company celebrated the opening night of hit musical Bye Bye Birdie Thursday night for an excited audience including Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Howard Stern with Beth Ostrosky, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Jonathan Kirk, and many more at the newly renovated Henry Miller’s Theater. Last night marked the first New York City revival of the musical in over 50 years with a cast featuring the talents of newcomers Nolan Gerard Funk and Allie Trimm along with Broadway veteran Bill Irwin and TV star John Stamos. Yes that's right, Full House's Uncle Jesse has officially made it to Broadway... More»

While we were chatting with society photog Patrick McMullan, he made the bold statement that the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel was the biggest opening since Studio 54. New Yorkers braved the cold Sunday night to hit the theatre as The Roundabout Theatre Company presented the opening night of Hedda Gabler, a new interpretation of Henrik Ibsen's chilling classic starring Mary-Louise Parker, Michael Cerveris, Peter Stormare, and Paul Sparks at The American Airlines Theatre. The play debuted to an A-list crowd of theatre go-ers including Liza Minnelli with Billy Stritch, Joan Rivers, Carolyn McCormick, Blythe Danner, and Lily Rabe, as Parker left Nancy Botwin at the door and tackled the impossible role that so many actresses before her have attempted to nail. The play runs through March 29th at The American Airlines Theatre in Times Square.
