On Saturday night, over 7,000 costumed revelers descended upon 28 of DC's most popular bars for the 12th Annual Nightmare on M Street...which was more like "Heaven on M Street" if you're into partying. More»

Many members of the social historical preservation society at the City Tavern Club say drama surrounding their leadership shakeup this summer only happened because the board sent a mass email to the club's entire membership announcing the temporary termination of Steve Andronico, the club's full-time general manager and a life member of the club, during the middle of Fashion For Paws, one of the largest benefits of the Washington social calendar. Many of the club's members were in attendance. More»

Despite the freak snowstorm DC endured Saturday, the night was setup for success with a 17-bar lineup and $5 Red Bull & Barcardi Torched Cherry Bombs. With girls freezing in their teeny costumes while waiting on hour long lines (ie. Sign of the Whale), everyone was excited to warm up on the dance floors next to plenty of funky, fuzzy and downright scary identities. Although McFadden's had their own costume contest, we compiled our collection of favorite costumes from the crawl. And while the bar crawl claimed to be a "nightmare" of a night, all the attendees would agree with me in saying the hangover was a way worse nightmare, unless you took advantage of bottomless mimosas at Sunday morning brunch.

We decided to round up some of DC's socials for a happy hour at Co Co. Sala, because, well, it's dead here in August but we still want to mingle.
Everyone came alive at Co Co. Sala, a chic lounge by Metro Center at 919 F Street, known for their sweet cocktails and sweeter desserts. Co Co. Sala Event Coordinator Hollis Pica surprised us with dozens tiny bowls of their famous chocolate mousse, "Onyx 6," topped with crispy chocolate pearls and a square "Co Co Sala" chocolate stamp.
