We absolutely love summer music festivals, but even we have to admit that the world of hip-hop has been rather underrepresented. Sure, Dre & Snoop tore the roof off at Coachella, but other than that it wasn't what we would have called a thoroughly funky affair. And while we more than appreciated the Action Bronson cameo at HARD L.A., once again, it was more a happy change-of-pace rather than the general tone of things. Which is why Rock The Bells, which like its contemporaries expanded this year to a multi-day affair, remains absolutely essential. Here's a look at some of the best moments from this weekend's installment at San Bernardino's NOS Events Center. More»

What really counts as a "big event" anymore? It's a fair question; there's so much competition amongst the plethora of overblown Hollywood nightspots that every random Wednesday night ends up looking like the party they're going to throw at the USC Kappa Sig house the day they legalize roofies. So in order to take a weekday club night to the next level, you really only have two choices: get a team of midgets to sit in the Stanley Cup, or get a world-famous DJ like Paul Oakenfold to spin your Thursday. Greystone Manor chose the latter last night, and while we still prefer the Stanley Cup one, we are willing to accept this. More»

Are you sick of awards season yet? Well jeez, let's hope not, because it's basically just getting started. And this week in particular marks one of the heaviest weeks on the calendar, as we briefly tear our attention away from movie stars to focus on the precious angels of the music industry. It all got started last night, as Cover Girl, Olay and Venus hosted the "Grammy Glam" event at MyHouse in Hollywood. Did the big names show up? Well, that depends- do you consider Salt N' Pepa's DJ to be a big name? More»
