Kristin Cavallari took time off “The Hills” to venture east for a fun-filled weekend at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. After a full day of shopping, (at Just Cavalli and La Perla) what’s a girl to do?  Eat some meat from Bobby Flay and go see friend DJ Samantha Ronson spinning at mur.mur. Sprinkled amongst the Santo Domingos, Missonis, and royalty, the daughter of the Baron and Baronne de la Baume was featured with her younger brother, Alexandre. While the 24 year-old actress hasn’t made major headway yet on the big screen for herself, she’s already a big name in the jet-set crowd. Last night, the New York City Ballet held its annual Spring Gala at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater. Luminaries from the ballet, literary, fashion, film, and even sports world attended, including Candace Bushnell, Liz Lange, Edward Norton, Hamish Bowles, Vanessa Williams, and hockey player Sean Avery. D.J. Samantha Ronson tweeted about the event: “..the dancers were all so sweet-wish i could have seen them perform. I miss all the good stuff.” You’ll just have to go to the ballet next time you’re in town, Sam!

Samantha Ronson is the latest microcelebrity to join Twitter (@jackdaniels9) and we are already becoming fans of her no holds bar postings.  Take the latest “Hollywood Cake” that she uploaded to Twitpic (was this before or after Lohan ended her relationship with Ronson over her private Twitter account?) With powdered sugar “lines” on the top, we can only imagine who this was for.  Who knew Samantha was so creative?

After bidding farewell to the Tahari/Vogue party for Gilding Lily Wednesday night, I hopped uptown to get into some serious shenanigans. I checked out the party to celebrate the 58 years that the 1407 Broadway building has survived in the heart of the fashion district. It’s presently owned by the Lightstone Group and is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation. The building is HUGE and the party was in the expansive lobby, which was very unique. Many of fashion’s great designers and creators have worked in this large office building over the last 58 years. It’s an iconic staple to the fashion world and I respect that we were celebrating a BUILDING that has played host to some of fashion’s most creative minds.

Sometimes the real story is better than anything fiction could come up with.  You can’t make up the Ronsons. Not even if your name is Wes Anderson…though the absurdities and eccentric natures of his The Royal Tenenbaums comes close, both the products of “an unusual upbringing and artistic environment.”

In case you’re lost, quickly; coolest mommy of the decade, Ann Dexter-Jones married Laurence Ronson (British real estate heir and band manager).  They brought Mark, Charlotte, and Samantha (twins) into the world. Mark, 32, is a hot shot music producer, most recently known for creating Amy Winehouse.  Charlotte does fashion, and Samantha is a popular NY DJ (and dating Lindsay Lohan).
