The Spring Ball for Save Venice may have been a little dressy for Stanley’s taste, but Truman Capote would have loved it. He might have noticed a shift in style though. Rather than the uptown traditional sit down dinner, this gala, held at the Bowery Hotel, offered only drinks, dessert and dancing. Luigi Tadini noted that he hoped the change in arrangements would make the event “a bit more open and free.” [Save Venice Write Up #1]

In case you missed the memo: Venice is sinking.  And, with the horrible flood last year, it's up to us to help save the amazing treasures stored there. Last night, TOD'S, at 650 Madison Avenue, opened its doors for shoppers with a mission-to SAVE VENICE. Tod's, along with VOGUE held a benefit night for the 34 year old art-saving organziation. Champagne flowed, and DJ Mel DeBarge played music, as guests leisurely scouted out items to buy in support of the cause. Among the shoppers we could find Adelina Wong Ettelson, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Luigi Tadini, Simon van Kempen, Alex McCord, Blair Voltz Clarke, Alina Cho and more.
