Los Angeles may not be the most fashion forward city in the world (I mean, people still wear Juicy sweats and Uggs in July here), but the chic shopping landscape is about to change thanks to the influx of international brands that are are making their way out west and staking out L.A. storefront territory, and we are très excited. A heartfelt thanks to Paris for sending over some of your best boutiques, including Isabel Marant, and what's this we hear about Sandro and The Kooples? London is also spreading its wings with the long overdue Topshop landing in The Grove this fall, as well as Japan's Uniqlo, plus some other exciting ones we've heard whispers about. So without further ado, here's a roundup of the best boutiques and fashion outposts we know for sure will soon open the doors of their new L.A. digs, as well as some unconfirmed speculated arrivals we may soon be able to look forward to shopping at in the near future. Downtown Greenwich has lost a movie theater, but gained an Apple Store. There's been some mixed press about Greenwich lately as the town's hedge funds have taken a hit, but Apple is optimistic that local pockets are still deep enough to support the company in its quest for world domination. More»

[Photo by ADRIEL REBOH for PMc] As designers like Donna Karan have already shown us this summer, just because you work in fashion, that doesn't mean you always have to be red carpet ready. Especially if you can pull it off as well as Tory Burch does. She's got casual-cool down to an art, and she showed off her laid-back look at the charity event for Best Buddies with The Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at the Tory Burch store in East Hampton on Saturday. Although there were tons of pretty ladies sporting Tory frocks, she chose to keep it chill in a pair of dark, cargo khakis, a big stone belt, tee and cardigan. Accessorized with a peace sign purse, the look was very Bohemian and casual Saturday. Her t-shirt was the perfect advertisement for the upcoming Fashion's Night Out on September 10th, which Tory and other designers will all be sure to take part in and fashion fans will all be sure to enjoy. Full coverage from the Best Buddies charity event coming soon... More»
