Ben Watts and crew hang out at Rick's Crabby Cowboy just hours before thousands flock to Montauk's biggest party of the summer.
Ben Watts highly anticipated party of the weekend almost also ended up being the biggest party of the weekend. But it turned out to be just too big to handle. Estimates of around 3,000 attendees, plus those poor individuals that were still waiting in line, were at Rick's Cowboy Café at the time the cops called it a night for Shark Attack Sounds. Just because the party ended at 11:30 didn't mean it wasn't a good time. Hosts Ben Pundole, Mazdack Rassi, and Ben Watts showed Montauk how to seriously party, and told us watch this space for a Halloween rager! #shhhh More»
Over the weekend Alec Baldwin showed support for Guild Hall at the screening of Searching For Sugar Man and at the Elie Tahari boutique in East Hampton, Ben Watts throws a party that Montauk just can't handle, Debra Messing and Mariska Hargitay shopped for a good cause at Theodora & Callum, Bumble & Bumble made waves at The Surf Lodge, Citizen Cope rocked out twice at Solé East and much more! We've said it once, and we will certainly say it again, we just can't wait for Ben Watt's Shark Attack Sounds Party. As we've watched the most epic party of the summer grow from just a little get together to the party of the summer, we lost track of the years, all 10 of them. The New York Times asks, "Has Montauk lost its cool or is it more fun?" - a pressing question that has been lingering unanswered for a while now. The Times uses Ben Watts' Shark Attack Sounds as a way to witness the clashing cultures of the high end Hamptons migrating all the way to the more "laid back" Montauk. But the real question isn't has Montauk lost its cool, but rather, why are those who prefer the glitz of Southampton keep trying to force a friendship with MTK? Here are a few reasons why Southampton vacationers should save their gas...

Saturday night was one to remember as Ben Watts took over Rick's Crabby Cowboy and turned it into an outdoor rager. Guests (including Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, and Alessandra Ambrosio) partied hard while dancing around an enormous DJ booth built up on a stage. Fourth of July weekend is notorious for bringing, let's call them interesting, outfits out of the woodwork - and Shark Attack Sounds did not disappoint. More»
