Patriotic Washingtonians kicked off Independence Day celebrations an the Great American Festival at the stunning Gaylord National Harbor on Saturday. The festival was an all-day party that featured American party favors, drinks, food, and lots of dancing on the beach to music by favorite acts  Eve 6, Ozomatli, See-I, DJ Neekola, Lost in Paris, Maskell, DJ Beach, DJ Chris Styles, DJ Flounder, DJ Pat Premier, Horrorscope, Skratch & Sniff, and The Dance Party. The day concluded with a dazzling evening fireworks display that shot straight off the pier. Lindy Promotions’ Uncle Sam Jam and HiBall Events’ National FreedomFest are combining forces to bring Washingtonians the inaugural Great American Festival, a day-long music extravaganza that will take over the stunning National Harbor waterfront pavilion, deck, piers and beach on June 30.

“We are excited about throwing our annual Independence Celebration along the Potomac River at the National Harbor. Guests can enjoy the pier and the beach while listening to some of DC’s favorite bands and DJs,” said Rich Shea, President of HiBall Events.

Live bands that will be performing on the DC101 Band Stage include Eve 6, Ozomatli, 18th Street Lounge favorite reggae band See-I, The Dance Party, and Lost in Paris. DJ acts like 99.5's DJ Chris Styles, Skratch & Sniff, Maskell, DJ Pat Premier, DJ Beach, Neekola and DJ Flounder will be spinning throughout the day. More»
