Tyler The Creator is not a normal human being. This information may not come as too much of a surprise if you've ever heard of him, but it bears repeating: there's something wonderfully abnormal going on inside this young man's head. Which is why we enjoyed reporting on the Gucci Mane event last week, where Tyler, perhaps all hopped up on the corn syrup from his beloved Capri Suns, bum-rushed the stage, was escorted off, and then gloriously returned. Last night's launch event for skate/streetwear brand The Hundreds' collaboration with G-Shock at the Belasco Theatre downtown unfolded as a scenario that could probably only happen here in L.A. One in which crazed Odd Future frontman Tyler the Creator, famous as much for making scenes with his radical behavior as he is for his music, was escorted off stage after making a surprise appearance during a Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy performance. Saturday night, a mix of young Hollywood stepped out for Give Back Hollywood Presents: The Xbox Miracle of Music Benefit in honor of the 2011 American Music Awards.
